Recently,we noticed sea water deslination in new way:Thermal deslination. However, most project still use RO membrane desalination. What is the difference between thermal desalination and membrane desalination?
Let's see it below :
Thermal desalination
(1) The temperature of the produced water is high, and it needs to be cooled by sea water
(2) The utilization rate of seawater is low (12 percent 20 percent )
(3)DC冷却水は熱の一部を取り去ります
(4)システムで生成される水の量は蒸気の量と密接に関連しています
(5) Low salt content in hydration (510mg/L)
(6) The water quality requirements are low, and the pre-processing is simple
(7)単機の規模が大きく、運用・維持管理量が少ない。

膜淡水化
1) The water production is greatly affected by the seawater temperature, the inlet water temperature decreases, and the water production decreases
2) The effluent seawater has a higher salt content
3) The total salt content (TDS) of the produced water is relatively high, about 350600mg/L
4) Deboronation needs to be considered when producing water for drinking water
5) High water quality requirements and complex pretreatment
6) No need of steam, easy to start and stop
7)機器は小規模で、操作に柔軟性があり、操作と保守が大きい
全体として、熱法は取水量が多く、生成水の温度が高く、冷却に海水が必要であり、生成水の水質が良く、前処理が簡単です。
The pretreatment process of membrane technology is complex, the water production is greatly affected by temperature, the salt content of the produced water is high, the operation flexibility is large, and the operation and maintenance volume is large.
